Community Action
The West Baton Rouge Parish Council Community Action Agency serves as a provider for community needs, with a focus on health, economic stability, and the betterment of all disadvantaged individuals, children, and families that we encounter. Our staff members will work with individuals to help them overcome any financial challenges they may be facing. However, our mission is to help individuals and families gain new skills to work towards becoming self-sufficient.
Community Service Block Grant (CSBG)
The CSBG fund is designed to, when funding is available, fund homeless prevention. This includes emergency rent, utility, and food assistance. If you have any further questions please contact our CSBG Program Specialist, Nicole Jacob.
Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
The LIHEAP program can assist eligible families with paying their utility bills. If eligible, it will provide a one-time grant to households in our parish to be used to pay off regular utility bills. If you have any further questions please contact our LIHEAP Program specialist, Adrienne Becnel.
