Rate Increase in West Baton Rouge Parish

Please be advised that a new taxing jurisdiction has been created in West Baton Rouge Parish called the 18th Judicial Enforcement District. The 18th Judicial Enforcement District is levying a parishwide sales and use tax of 0.25%.

Effective July 1, 2024, all dealers must charge and collect an additional 0.25% sales and use
tax, upon the sale at retail, the use, the lease or rental, the consumption, and the storage for
use or consumption, of tangible personal property and upon the sale of services as defined in applicable statutory authority.

The increase will cause Column A to change from 5.00% to 5.25% and Column B to change
from 5.50% to 5.75%. The new tax will have the same rates for vendor’s compensation,
interest and penalty as the other taxes levied by this Parish.

You may download the new sales and use tax return from our home page at the Louisiana
