Fall is finally upon us, and we are getting ready for Spooky Season at the Museum! Please join us, in partnership with the West Baton Rouge Parish Library, for our annual “Merry-Not-Scary Halloween” event. This evening event will take place on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 5:30-7:30 PM, on the grounds of the West Baton Rouge Museum.
This year’s entertainment boasts a Halloween dance by the “friendly witches” of the Ogden Park neighborhood at 6:00 PM in front of the Juke Joint and featured entertainment by percussionist Lady Chops, of the Off-Broadway show, STOMP at 6:30 and 7:00 on the Juke Joint Stage. All other activities end at 7:00 PM for the last big show. Bring your beach towels, blankets, and lawn chair to have the best possible viewing experience.
Costumes are welcome, and please remember to bring a treat bag. From 5:30 – 7:00PM, trick-or-treaters can meet a fortune teller, go on a scavenger hunt, make shadow puppets, and so much more. This year we are bringing back some of our favorites like the pumpkin patch and costumed therapy dogs from the LSU Tiger HATS program!
Free lemonade will be available while supplies last thanks to a generous donation from Raising Cane’s. Food will be available for purchase from the Bean Dip Factory and Sweet Abundance food trucks.
This event is FREE and open to the public. For updates and additional information, visit both the West Baton Rouge Museum and the West Baton Rouge Parish Library on social media and our respective websites, or contact the library or the museum.
